So now what is 'dark web' it is the World Wide Web content that exists on darknets, overlay networks which use the public Internet but require specific software, configurations or authorization to access it. to make it easy think of it as an iceberg - although some of it is visible from above the surface of the water, most of it lies below the surface of the water(get it)and here the water is encyption which hides the identity of the user as well as the host.
So how did it get the name 'dark web' here it is, it is not as people generally say it cause it has dark content (evil and illegal) it's not like that it is due to a company called brightplanet in 2001 due to its privacy it cannot be accessed by the surface net search engine's due to its layered encryption system,and that's the reason why it is called 'dark web'
Now we know what it is and why it is called so now we will be digging to who invented it and whats its origin, nobody excaclty knows who invented the darkweb I found out that a group of people had made it for the government for its privacy and to communicate whithout being traced.
The origin of the darkweb traces back to the origin of the surface web
the "dark web" just refers to websites that exist on top of darknets, which are overlay networks that are off-limits except to those with certain software, authorizations, or hardware configurations,so now we know that the darkweb existed just as the same time as the surface web(just like a parasite).I found out that the US ARMY used it and devoloped it just as they did the ARPANET (which is the internet today). Students at MIT in the were the first to trade and buy drugs in the ARPANET, so that it means that the students essentially started the darkweb for illegal purposes where as the government used it for privacy which was meant to be the main use of the darkweb.
So how do people use the 'darkweb' as it can't be browsed by the clearnet search engines such as Google,well they use a special peice if software called the 'TOR' which means THE ONION ROUTER, it was devoloped by the U.S. Navy's advanced research agency in an effort to create secure communication and to gather intelligence but the navy released the Tor code to the public in 2004, and in 2006 a group of developers formed the Tor Project and released the service currently in use for various illegal purposes. TOR is not the only software which can be used to access the darkweb there are other software like i2p and freenet.
So why do people have to use these special types of software to use the
Darkweb 'cause they bounce the user IP address and make them invisible to people who are trying to trace them but now and them the FBI and CIA catch people who visit illegal sites the darkweb( I'll be writing about these software in the next article).
So people say that if you visit the darkweb you'll be behind the bars, no that's not true the darkweb is not always illegal it is used for anonymity so it is just like a moist bread for illegal purposes, got it the main purpose of the darkweb is to stay anonymous and offer privacy to the user so it became a place for illegal thing's.
So what illegal thing's are happening under the hood well it's just beyond your wildest daydream, there you can buy stuff like illegal drugs weapons and even hitman and by the way there is a policy for those hitmand they only kill men who are adults and they don't kill top 10 people of anything.
According to a survey 70% of the worlds darkweb traffic is child pornography and that's highly illegal and people can be put behind the bars for just visiting those sites
So how does the darkweb get its term the anonymous that's just simple the TOR jumps ip address constantly across the globe from its 7000 servers so people who use the darkweb stays anonymous........

But there are helpful sites are there as well and of those is the hidden wiki which is the wiki which is invisible to the surface net
Unlike the normal websites these url has .onion replacing .Com as they are used by the tor.
